A little bit about Mr Smiggles

Irony is his middle name, meet our senior kelpie Mr Smiggles!



Mr Smiggles is just as spry as he is handsome. With a smile that never leaves his face and a pep in his step, he enjoys running around and playing, he just tuckers out a bit faster than he used to. At his age, Mr Smiggles has gracefully moved past the puppy chaos and into his golden years, where he enjoys life's simpler pleasures: a cozy bed, a leisurely stroll, and a good old-fashioned ear scratch (is absolute FAVOURITE - his legs will start to kick when you really hit the spot).



And let's talk about food, he s for his meals. Treats? Yes, please. Dinner time? He's there early, politely reminding you it's his favorite part of the day. His food motivation also makes him easy to bond with, and eager to learn new tricks.



While he loves to hangout with his people, Mr Smiggles can be a little unsure of full on cuddles. He prefers to show his love with time spent with you, being a comforting presence rather than a new heated blanket on your lap. Because of this he'll need to go home with secondary school aged kids or older who can understand when he needs space, and that sometimes not every dog wants human hands all over them.



Mr Smiggles is also a bit of an independent spirit when it comes to other dogs, and tends to be a bit of an old grump when it comes to other animals. Dogs tend to be a bit much for him, although he'll definitely tell you when one is around. And cats? Well let's just say he's not quite sure what to make of cats, and prefers to keep his distance.



He's not looking for exciting adventures and meeting new people. He's looking for a sunny spot to nap in, a steady routine and a kindred spirit to spend his days with.
